There are two ways to search for a lost item to Metro:

Tips to recover lost items:
  • Be ready to provide a detailed descripton or a unique characteristic of your lost item.
  • Jotting down the following information can help:
    - Bus route number (ex: Line 2/302)
    - Bus or train car number
    - Train line
    - Station name
    - Date, time of day and direction of travel


Use our new 3 step online system to search for a lost item.

number one Submit your lost item online.
number two Once you submit information about the lost item online, it will be entered into our database for a possible match.
number three You will receive a request/claim number. Please refer to your request number for any inquiries regarding your lost item.

Please wait (3) business days, excluding weekends and holidays; before going to Lost & Found to see if your item was recovered. You must visit the address above and provide a valid photo identification to claim any lost item.
