There are two ways to report a lost item to Metro:
Tips to recover lost items:
- Be ready to provide a detailed descripton or a unique characteristic of an item.
- Jotting down the following information can help:
- Bus route number (ex: Line 2/302)
- Bus or train car number
- Train line
- Station name
- Date, time of day and direction of travel

|Tell us what & when you lost your item and how Metro can contact you.|
|Once you submit information about the lost item online, it will be entered into our database for processing and will be accessible to the Lost & Found office to see if there are any matches.|
|You will receive a claim number. Please refer to your claim number for any inquiries regarding your lost item.|
You can also report your lost item in person.

Please wait three (3) business days for your item to be delivered to the Lost and Found, if it is recovered. You must provide valid photo identification to claim your item.
